RULES ARE FROM RENEGADES
Okay basicly for the purpose of all RPing, there are a few things that must be done.
1. Do not God Mod: I cannot Stress this enough. God modding is defined as clearly as possible as controling another persons character without their consent, or saying that without a doubt your character's attacks hit another persons character without evidence that it had no chance of missing. The way to follow this rule is simple.
1A. If you intend to control another persons character, ask them (In PM) first before proceeding, and do not do it to an extent where you cause that persons character to slip from their personality and manerisms.
1B. If you are in a fight and attacking a person, you are not allowed to say the attack hit the persons character (More on this when I make the rules for the fighting section, comming soon).
2. Do not assume: If you do something in character, make sure it is clear and detailed enough for people to get what you're trying to say. If you do not mention something, then it did not happen. Plane and Simple. And do not assume that what a person posted In Character is what they ment. If you have a question, ask it for clarafication. This will avoide mistakes and arguments over simple things. Also, do not make implications of what is happening.
3. No Metagaming: Metagaming is a term used in D&D, however it is also aplicable here. Metagaming is defined as using knowledge obtained outside of character in character. Meaning [i[you[/i] know something, but your character cannot know it without previous experiences with the character (If your character has encounterd it then it is fine, but not before hand).
Ex: In D&D, if your character is fighting a white (ice) dragon for the first time, you may know that this type of dragon is weak against fire, but your character would not know this fact. Therefore automatically using a fire type weapon because you know it will do the most damage is metagaming.
Now there are exceptions, if something is said, like, in the example, the dragon used a breath attack and froze something, it could be determined that it is an Ice Dragon. It is all about what your character experiences.
4. All first character bios must be approved before they can be used. Anyone who posts in character with an unapproved character, will have the thread locked, or deleted until the approval is given. Also, please provide a slight explination of what the weapons or powers of your character do, this will also avoid arguments in the future.
5. All first character bios for perminent use must have this in the bio *OBLIVION* or the approval will not be given. All bios after that do not need this.
